No Noise 2 is Discontinued.
No Noise 2 is a user interface-less software application that operates in the background, suppressing the particular noise generated by some PCs
that use the Windows XP operating system. This noise intensifies when the pointing device or HDD is active. The noise is generated internally by
the computer and routed directly to the audio output(s). Replacing the sound card, hard drive(s), pointing device and all related cables does not
have any effect on the generated noise level. The noise is exasperating and very irritating. Some users completely disable the computer audio in
order to continue to work. No Noise is a software application that suppresses that particular noise to negligible levels.
|
| No Noise uses Fourier transformations, continually performing large numbers of calculations.
It runs in the background at the lowest priority level, facilitating all unused processor cycles without disrupting the performance of the foreground applications running at higher
priority levels (usually about 15 levels above). For this reason, when No Noise is in operation, the processor functions at about 100%, which can be seen from the Task Manager.
|
| The following diagram shows the "pure noise" produced by a system affected by the aforementioned problem. |
The following diagram shows the "silence" levels on the same system when No Noise 2 is in operation. |

|
| Due to the release of Windows 7, an excellent operating system which we highly recommend , No Noise 2 is no longer under development
or being offered. The software was developed for use with Windows XP only, and since that operating system is now outdated, further development of No Noise is not deemed to be necessary. |
