The download file SHA1-256 hash code is: 69738E219E7B2889491D352391A135E67D1BA679
A hash code is a long number produced from some data. In our case above, it is from the selected download file. Hash codes are often used to help to ensure that data downloads have completed without errors. For this purpose, many websites display the hash code of the files published for downloading next to each particular file. The visitor/user creates a hash on each downloaded file after the download is complete and compares the two hashes. If they match, the file was downloaded without errors. There are different hash algorithms and sometimes hashes are displayed in reverse reading order so one needs to be careful. The Hash Files functionality of the Authenticator module of Act On File has a software which can be used to easily create and display hashes.
