The Enhanced Micro-Controller Operating System (EMCOS) is a single threaded fully scalable operating system capable of driving from a standalone micro-controller to a system with external RAM, ROM, EEPROM, Flash Memory, Real Time Clock, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Keyboard, Thermal Printer, Asynchronous Serial Communication, Parallel Port, Synchronous Communication Network of EMCOS driven systems and other devices and subsystems. Think of EMCOS as a PC running under DOS – only that it is smaller and more flexible, which you can also control remotely via host PC. EMCOS is able to serve over 90% from all commercial micro-controller applications.

The development of EMCOS version 5 is complete. However there is more work required on the reference manual before I could release the system. This will be done shortly after I release "The Apple Skin". Further I also plan to manufacture development boards for EMCOS driven systems which will be available to purchase from the MBBSoftware website. The development boards/kits will be available together or shortly after the EMCOS software is released. The EMCOS software includes the hardware design diagrams for the fully scalable EMCOS driven systems, which are distributed free of charge when the software is purchased.
