| Example of Implementation - Website Testimonials |
|
|
Testimonials published on a webpage might look similar to the example page below. Since, in many cases, it may be difficult to make the links for manual authentication aesthetically complementary
to the design of the webpage on which they are to be displayed, some webmasters may choose to hide the manual authentication links within an expandable element, similar to the example below.

| Our Testimonials |
We are pleased to publish some of the testimonials which our clients have expressed about us and our services. We encourage you to verify (authenticate) at least a few of them and be sure
that they are genuine, from real people or companies and not that we have written what we wish people to say about us. There are two ways to verify a testimonial.
1. For Automatic Authentication, please click the respective link near each testimonial. A new browser window will open where the URL's of the testimonial file and its signature
(on our website) and the testimonial-giver’s public authentication key (from their website) will be loaded in their respective text fields. Please confirm the selected file URLs
are as expected and proceed with the test. You can see the exact URLs for these files in the download links in the manual authentication section for the same testimonial.
2. For manual authentication, first download the testimonial and its signature by clicking the right mouse button on the appropriate links and choosing the "Save As" option. You can
also download the testimonial by right-clicking on it and choosing the "Save As" button. Download the public key from the testimonial-giver’s website. You can follow the clickable
link which we have provided or simply navigate to their website and download their authentication Public Key which is noted at the bottom of the testimonial. Finally, use the
Verify Signatures functionality of the
Authenticator module of
Act On File
or similar software to verify (authenticate) the testimonial using its signature and testifier public authentication key.

| Comments on the Example |
The testimonial file in the first example is an embedded image, while in the second it is an embedded html file. The organization of the testimonials might be
similar to the table above, or in another suitable layout allowing the visitor to easily:
- Review each testimonial;
- See the URLs of each testimonial file, its signature on the website, and the URL of the public key on the testimonial-giver’s website;
- Download each testimonial file and its signature;
- Navigate to the testimonial-giver’s website, and possibly download their testimonial;
- Use an Automatic Authentication link.
